Uh oh! Hopefully you weren't called one recently. If you've ever heard of a 'poser', you've heard of a squid. If you've ever seen someone on an ultra-performance bike with a full inch of untouched rubber on both sides of the rear tire, you've seen a squid. There are several explanations for where the word came from, but one of the most logical is that of the squid itself: it's good for short, fast bursts in a straight line, but can't turn to save it's life. If looking good and sounding good are more important to you than your riding abilities... you are a squid.
