Hello, again.

Hi all. Not a Newb here, been on this site since 2003 but haven't looked in in a while since it seemed to be down. Still have my YZF, though I have 5 other motorcycles as well. I have a ton of miles on my YZF and it's time to fix second gear. This is the third time it's gone bad on me. the first time was at 20,000 miles, and Yamaha fixed it. The second time was at 45K and I found a great used motor with very, very low miles on it. That lasted me about 60,000 miles, which brings us up to now. My mechanic is getting forwarded all the information I can find about rebuilding the motor and replacing 2nd gear, as well as undercutting the gears. Hopefully I'll have another 100,000 under me on this machine. I still love riding this motorcycle. I also have a '95 GPZ1100, an '01 W650, an '06 FJR1300, a '18 Ninja1000 and a '23 Z900RS Cafe'.

Welcome back!
My 2003 YZF600R has 124,000 miles on it with the original engine and gearset. I passed it on to my youngest son, who just replaced a shift shaft that I dorked and he installed the Factory Pro shift kit that I've had on the shelf all these years. It's been a fantastic bike.

Are you on any of the FJR forums? I hang out on FJRowners.com I've learned allot over there. They have a few gurus.

Hey, yes I'm on all the FJR forums. Most of the time I'm on the Facebook versions.
