Who did you guys use to undercut your new gears? Was there any particular machine shop you would recommend? Also, does anyone know the pitch of the undercut?

thats specific info that Im afraid your not likely to find anymore.

The few that i can think of that have had this done arent posting anymore.

So you could find an experienced machinist who might know what is best.

overall though i dont think it needs to be done. rebuilding 2nd gear and installing factory pro shift kit will make the bike work wonderfully and for a very long time.
I have a full engines worth of bolts and hardware. if you are missing somthing specialty hit me up I will share.

That's not actually the case. I've had the shift kit installed since 2000, when at 20,000 miles 2nd gear went bad for the first time. at 45,000 miles it went bad on me again. I bought a complete low mile's parts bike and swapped the motor, with the shift kit installed in that motor. It lasted me 65,000 miles before 2nd gear went bad again. That's why I'm wanting to undercut the gears and install a new shift kit.
