Finally getting around to selling the cat [Sold]
#1
Hey guys, it's been a while.

Finally got around to having time to get the cat up and running so I can sell it.

Here is the FB marketplace link if anyone is interested - https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/ite...4738519579

It's been a wonderful bike and I've learned a tremendous amount from the bike and all the wonderful people on these forums over the years.

Hoping it goes to someone who can truly appreciate the bike for what it is. Please feel free to share if you know someone who is looking for one.

Thanks Res. Got a few queries about it but nothing concrete yet. Wondering if the pricing is right. I looked at similar bikes and the market seems to dictate higher pricing than what KBB is showing.

Any feedback is appreciated.

It appears to be in great condition with super-low miles. Follow the market. Wait for the right buyer.

Are you still riding, or was that your only bike?

That was my only bike. Stopped riding a little while ago when my son was born. Kind of got the bug again since I started working on the bike to get it running but have a lot more to consider. Atlanta drivers are a major concern as well.

Understood.  I rode very little while my boys were young.  But as they got well into their teens, I bought the YZF.
They both got interested in riding then.  Especially my youngest, who I taught on an old trail bike I have.

Both of my sons ride now, and both have had wrecks.  But they are grown men, so they can make their own decisions.
They both wear full gear and preach it to others, because it has saved some pain for both of them.

Maybe you will get back in the saddle when you are older, or maybe you won't.  But if your kids get into it, take it upon yourself to train them or to get them training.  Then keep training and discussing scenarios and skills.  Aside from that, all you can do is pray for them each day. (Which you will probably do anyway.)

Here's my oldest.  He sent me this just the other day.

Thank you for the wonderful advise. I can definitely appreciate the experience and I'm sure your boys are thankful for the wonderful gift you've passed to them. Awesome pic of your son.

I'm already finding it hard to resist and looking at other possible bikes. I would love to get my son interested in riding but he was scared to even be close to the cat. Hoping one day I can get him interested and we can go riding together.

Cheers!

One last thing, if I may. How much did it sell for?

Not bad! And it sold quickly.
Well, I hope you check back from time to time to reflect on your YZF days.
